Simon "Red" Brown Woolard died on March 16, 2014 in Ormond Beach, Florida. Simon was born in Stokes, NC, son of Simon T. and Addie B. Woolard on June 7, 1918. He graduated from Robersonville High School, North Carolina State University, and Texas A & M with a M.S. in Electrical Engineering. He worked for General Electric in Schenectady, NY and Daytona Beach, FL for 35 years. He taught electronics at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University after retirement from General Electric. He enjoyed golf, scuba diving, and fishing. He was predeceased by his brothers Ottis and Clifton Woolard. Survivors include a nephew Michael Woolard, nieces Virginia W. Morton and Martha W. Highsmith and families. Funeral arrangements in North Carolina are incomplete.
