Sidney S Cudebec of Deland, FL passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was born on August 18, 1915 in Nunda, NY to William and Cora Cudebec. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a 32nd degree Mason. One of his favorite sayings was "Age is a state of mind." Sidney Cudebec's view of work is something to be proud of. He told his children that he "didn't care what kind of a job they got, but whatever it is, as long as it is honest work-do a good job and do a little more than is expected of you, and you'll never have to worry about employment." After losing his father at 12 years of age, Sidney worked three different jobs. His first experience with construction was when he was too young to be a legal worker. He has been involved in building of hospitals, condominiums, roads, railroads, and supervising construction of the pads at Cape Canaveral and Assistant Senior Engineer for the Manhattan Project. Sidney worked until he was 90 years of age. He is survived by his sons, Kim Cudebec of Oviedo, FL, Sidney Cudebec Jr of Boling Brook, IL; daughter, Sonja Contois of Waynesville, NC; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his special friend, Betsey Henneberger of Deland, FL.
