Shirley grew up in South Weymouth, Massachusetts with 5 siblings and graduated from Weymouth High school, Class of 1949. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and her family. She was the daughter of the late Auchester and Mary Galliher. Her family moved to Daytona Beach in 1955.

Shirley was preceded in death by the love of her life Charles Sr., who passed in 2000. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Denise Wolford & husband Duncan, her son, Charles Jr. and his wife Mary, and son Daniel and his wife Regina and her sister Mary Gaines and husband Howard. She was extremely proud of her 3 children who all have College degrees. She was a life-long member of the Basilica of St. Paul. In her remarkable life she enjoyed traveling, attending car races, watching her children and grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with her family.
