Shirley Mae Hatcher was born on July 14, 1935 in North Carolina.  She and her husband, Paul Hatcher, settled and raised their children in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Shirley was a housewife, and beloved mother and grandmother.  Her focus was the love and bonds of her family and friends.  She passed at home, after a short illness, on December 30, 2021.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Paul Hatcher, daughter Paula Axley, son Vernon Hatcher, daughter-in-law Pamela Hatcher, granddaughter Jessica Raver, great-granddaughter Anaise Lynn Cowart, and brother John Rochelle.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Hatcher, son-in-law Greg Collett, son-in-law Gregg Axley, and sister Josephine Hatcher.

She is also survived by grandchildren Tammy King, Leon Axley, Tommy Hatcher, Audrianna Patterson, Nadine Axley, Josh Raver, Carl Collett, Phillip Collett, and great-grandchildren Krystina Waterman, Morgan Thorne, Austin Graves, Mia Bevis, Bekka Lynn Rodenbaugh, Alyssa Rogers, and Wyatt Collett.

She will be missed.
