Shirley L. Gainey passed away from this life into God's care on March 14, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born in Windemere, Florida on October 14, 1934 to Olin and Oniemae Graves. She was their only child. She lived in various small towns until moving to the Daytona Beach area in 1947. She graduated from Mainland High School, class of 1952. She was married to Ted Gainey, Jr. She attended the Beville Road Church of Christ. She was predeceased by Ted, Jr., and three of her four sons: Mark, Chris, and Terry. Chris took care of her after her husband's death in 2015 until his death in 2022. She is survived by her remaining son, Jody Gainey of Iva, South Carolina; and three grandchildren: Olin Ball of North Carolina, Michelle Platt of Pennsylvania, and Tiffany Gainey of Pennsylvania.
