Shelby Nicole Skinner, 22 of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on Friday, August 11th 2017 in Denver, Colorado. Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 18th from 4-8 pm with funeral services being celebrated on Saturday Aug. 19th at 1:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach.
She was born May 24, 1995 in Daytona Beach to Gerald and Alisha (Johnson) Skinner.
Shelby graduated with honors toward the top of her class at SeaBreeze H.S. in 2013
She was a free spirited person, touched so many lives, never a stranger. She had a contagious smile that would light up any room she walked into. She loved to travel, enjoy her times in the mountains, at the beach, simply soaking in nature. She enjoyed the movies, music, the arts, photography, and shopping with her friends. Besides her love of family, Shelby loved animals, all shapes and sizes, especially dogs.
Shelby was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Michael Johnson as well as her paternal grandfather, Gerald Skinner, Sr.
She is survived by her father, Gerald Skinner, Jr., her mother and step-father, Alisha and Robert Bolwerk, by her brother, Sean Michael Skinner, all of Ormond Beach, by her maternal grandmother, Jean Johnson of Port Orange, FL, paternal grandmother, Patricia Westfall of Palm Coast, FL, two step-sisters, Brittney and Breanna Bolwerk of Ormond Beach, as well as two aunts Angie (Matt) Harrison of Port Orange, and Connie (Charles) Priest of Ormond Beach as well as hundreds of friends.
