Shayne A. Laidler, 21, of Port Orange passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014. A visitation will be held between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M., on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday November 1, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1014 N Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. He will be laid to rest following the service at Greenwood Cemetery, 320 White St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

Shayne was born on March 24, 1993 to Roemell A. and Emily L. Laidler in Daytona Beach, Florida. He graduated from Spruce Creek in 2011. Following high school, Shayne attended Methodist University in North Carolina where he played football. Currently he was attending Daytona State College where he was working towards a degree in graphic design.

Shayne loved life, and made the best of everyday. His smile could brighten your day and you could truly see the joy in his heart. He enjoyed fitness, football, and riding his motorcycle. Shayne was a man of deep values, faith, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Roemell A. and Emily L. Laidler, of Port Orange; sister, Briana Laidler, of Port Orange, sister K'obuna Vickers, of Las Vegas; paternal grandmother, Betty Plump, of Daytona Beach; maternal grandparents, Norma and Christopher Phelps, of Ormond Beach; Uncles Frank Adriance(deceased), surviving Willie Reed of Daytona Bch. Fl., Godmother's Sasha Haynes, and Alexis Edwards. Shayne also leaves behind many cousins, and friends.
