Sharron Riser Ward of Port Orange, Florida was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on the afternoon of Monday, May 9, 2022.  Sharron was born in Sanford, Florida to her parents, James Allen Riser and Jewell Kathryn Riser.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Lee Riser Walker, her brother, James "Butch" Harrison Riser, and a niece, Beverly Crosby Clyburn.
Sharron was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BA in Education and taught elementary school for several years before becoming the proud co-owner of Ward's Pharmacy.  For 20+ years she worked side by side with her loving husband, pharmacist James Earl Ward.  Sharron and James Earl were married for 55 years.
Sharron is also survived by her son, Jim (Cindy) Ward of Phoenix, Arizona and daughter, Wendy (Roger) Doty and granddaughter, Jade (Justin) Ainsworth of Statesboro, Georgia.  Sharron enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and creating candies and chocolate pretzels for the Children's Grief Center and First Baptist Church Bus Ministry. She was very involved in community service and was a member of First Baptist Church Daytona Beach for 48 years.  Sharron was an avid tennis player and a member of The Trails Racquet Club.  A proud accomplishment was when her team won the USTA 2010 National Championship Tennis Tournament in Surprise, Az.
Sharron's extended family includes grandchildren, Morgan (Jill) Doty, Trent (Fowler) Doty, Mary (Trevor) Alderman, and Ashleigh Salinski; Great grandchildren, Mila and Halle Doty, Kinsley, Aniston, Aubrey, and Walker Alderman; Two very special friends, Karen and Lee McFarland; brother-in-law, Greg Walker, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rose and Dickey Crosby; nieces, Lynn (Alan) Cox and Beth (Victor) Carnley and nephew, Jeffrey (Donya) Crosby, and many, many lifetime friends.
A Visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2022. The Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church Daytona Beach, 10 First Baptist Parkway, Daytona Beach, FL 32124, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
