Obituary

Sharon L. Nuqui-Hatchett, age 59 of Daytona Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home on January 2nd, 2025, after a long and hard battle with heart disease.

Sharon was born on November 6th, 1965 in Jersey City, NJ from parents Dr. Magno and Janet C. Nuqui. She grew up in South Hackensack on Dyer Avenue where she made lifelong friends and spent cherished times with her sisters, cousins and friends. She attended Hackensack High School, class of 1983. She went on to earn a technical certificate in information technology in 1998 and completed her program as a Peer Tutor earning Summa Cum Laude and finished her working career as a Network Engineer for CIBC in New York, New York.

Sharon lost her mother at the age of 21 to ovarian cancer, and later welcomed her beloved step-mother, Araceli into their family.

In 1997, she married Ronald Sinno, and that year they had their son, Matthew Sinno. They made their home in Bergenfield, New Jersey and in the following years, relocated to Sebastian, Florida. They later divorced, and Sharon remarried Raymond Hatchett, whom she loved up until her passing.

Sharon spent the last 10 years of her life living in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she had always belonged. She made hundreds of friends, all of whom she loved deeply and they loved her the same in return. She joined a wonderful community that cherished her. She loved spending time with friends, reading, Harry Potter and riding on the back of a motor cycle with the wind in her hair. It was her wind therapy!

Her greatest pride and joy in life was her son, Matthew. She loved him more than anything - and Matthew loved his mom more than anything.

Sharon is survived by her son Matthew Sinno (Klajdi Zeqollari), her husband, Raymond Hatchett, Sisters Denise Nuqui and Chrisy Angelini (Jimmy), her father Dr. Magno Nuqui and loving step-mother, Araceli Nuqui, Nephews Josh Nuqui, Vincent Angelini, III (Andrea) and Niece Kiarra Angelini. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet C. Nuqui.

A private family memorial will take place in Hackensack, NJ as well as a celebration of life in the Daytona area at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
