Sharon Marie Krawchuk 62 passed away July 12 2013 surrounded by the love and support of her family and dear friends. Sharon's life will be celebrated at a Memorial Mass to be held on Friday August 23 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Carmelite Monastery in Bunnell FL.

Sharon was born and raised in northeast Ohio the daughter of Stanley Krawchuk and Jean (Drag) Krawchuk. Sharon received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1975 from the Cleveland Art Institute majoring in textile design. After working at the Cleveland Museum of Art for many years Sharon moved to Ormond Beach in 1982. Sharon taught for Flagler County's EvenStart program (now named New Beginnings) helping new often disadvantaged parents by providing parenting classes and promoting literacy and education. Sharon worked tirelessly to help these students and also organized many joyous Holiday celebrations that included disabled children and others in the school system.

Sharon's tender heart led her to save many abandoned pets working with Pawsibilities and other no-kill' rescue centers. She cherished her furrballs' and helped to place many others in loving homes - often with family and friends. Sharon's home and garden mirror her love of beauty and nature and her keen eye for subtleties in color tone and texture. She loved the ocean and visits to Key West with her partner Joe and to the Caribbean brought her much joy.
Sharon's iron will and many friends and family supported her through a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. The family will be forever grateful for this deep and meaningful support. Sharon is survived by her siblings Timothy Mary Ann and Dennis her long term partner Joe Gyapjas closest friends Susan Tate and Lisa McGovern and her Mom's long term companion Walter Lorek.
