Sharon Gillette Benton

Sharon Gillette Benton, the daughter of Ansel and Hazel Gillette, passed away on November 14, 2021, at her home in Port Orange, Florida at the age of 73. Sharon was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 28, 1948 and relocated to Florida at a young age.

Sharon and Lonnie Benton married on February 22, 1985 and made their home in Daytona Beach, Florida where Sharon was a homemaker.

Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Ansel and Hazel Gillette, her granddaughter, Lauren Richardson, and her youngest son, Justin Benton.

Sharon is survived by her husband; Lonnie Allen Benton, her remaining children; Melissa Richardson, Carissa LaRoche and Johnny Benton, her sisters; Patty Sansom and Debbie Sjoblom, and her grandchildren; Austin Richardson, Jaren Richardson, Brandon LaRoche, Ruby LaRoche, Lily LaRoche, Lane Benton, Kylie Benton and Eli Benton.

At this time there will be no service as the family has decided to hold a private family celebration at a later date.
