God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down on earth and picked Setrenia Edgerton to fill this space. On Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 she departed this life to be in the garden with the Lord. Setrenia's celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 24th at 1:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Setrenia Paularnita Patterson was born November 13, 1960 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to Brodie Patterson and Betty Gunn. She preferred to be called "Trenia". As a child, she was baptized at West Durham Baptist Church, She received her education from Charles E. Jordan High School in Durham, NC and later went on to become a certified nursing assistant at Hillhaven Lasalle Nursing facility.
After moving to Daytona Beach, Florida she worked as an Emergency Room Technician at Penninsula Medical Center (now known as Florida Hospital Oceanside). Setrenia was active in the community serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader (122, 619, and 1315). She was also a Trainer and Delegate for Citrus Council of Girl Scouts, Flamingo Service Unit.
Setrenia married Theodore Edgerton, Jr. on July 20, 1985. To this union two children were born, Jennika and Eboni.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 31 years, Theodore Edgerton, Jr.; three loving daughters, Lashann Patterson of Durham, NC, and Jennika and Eboni Edgerton of the home. She also leaves her mother Betty Gunn of Durham, NC, father Brodie Patterson and stepmother Enid of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Mary Patterson and Norsena Law (Robert) of Durham, NC ; one brother, Furailrow Patterson (Jennifer) of Stafford, VA; Mother-in-love, Constance Faulks, of Durham, NC; Father-in-love, Theodore Edgerton, Sr. of Efland, NC; one brother-in-love, Phillip Edgerton of Durham, NC; two sister-in-loves, Kimberly Edgerton-Stafford (Ronald) of Efland, NC, and Lakeisha Faulks-Tate (Ron) of Raleigh, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
