Selma Sophia Gill 83 Port Orange passed away April 22 2008 very peacefully after a brief illness. Selma's loving husband and their children were gathered at her side. Selma is best remembered for her quick wit and warm heart for friends and family. She was strong feisty and independent. The Gills relocated to Port Orange from Southampton N.Y. in 1972. Throughout the years Selma worked hard in the family businesses and on behalf of her children. Selma was born June 14 1924 in Huntington L.I. N.Y. to Waldemar and Inga Schlossberg. A son James (Barbara) Gill preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 65 years Robert Gill Port Orange; and her children Robert (Mary Ann) Gill Southampton N.Y. Tom (Laura) Gill San Juan Capistrano Calif. Judy (John) Hyre Gananoque Ontario Canada and Susen (Don) Shields Newnan Ga. Also surviving are six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
