A Mass of Christian burial for Scott Kevin Williams 32 of Holly Hill who passed away Wednesday May 9 2007 doing what he loved most surfing will be held Tuesday May 14 2007 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach at 10:00 AM with his uncle Rev. Michael Williams Pastor of St. Williams Catholic Church in Keystone Heights FL and Father Jeff McGowan of Gainesville FL officiating. His family is inviting friends to attend visitation at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach on Monday from 6 PM until 8 PM. A Prayer Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Scott was born in Orlando FL on September 15 1974 and lived in Longwood until 1979.He and his family moved to Gainesville where he attended Idylwild St. Patrick's and Wiles Elementary Schools. He also graduated from Ft. Clarke Middle and Buchholz High School. Scott graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitative Counseling in 2000. Scott was an avid surfer snowboarder wake boarder water skier and guitar player. He played baseball and wrestled in High School.
Scott loved working with children. He was a camp counselor at Camp Crystal and an assistant director at Camp Montgomery in Keystone Heights FL. He was facilitator of outdoor education at Pathfinders in St. Petersburg. He taught high ropes canoeing challenge courses and swimming to middle school children. He was also an aquatics instructor at the YMCA in Port Orange FL. Surviving him are his parents Randy and Eileen Williams his sister Patricia Williams Chaffman and his brother-in-law David Chaffman his brother and sister-in-law John and Lisa Williams his brother and sister-in-law Randy and Jennifer Williams his brother Glen Williams and his uncle Father Mike Williams. Scott has two nieces Kelly Chaffman and Sarah Cozza nephews Michael and Jake Chaffman Reese Williams Forrest Williams and Heath Williams and his loving girl friend Amalia Fernand.
