Saralyn Korey 65 of Ormond Beach FL died surrounded by her family on April 5 2013 at Halifax Hospital Daytona Beach. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday April 8th between the hours of 5-7 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach followed by a Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday April 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church 44 S. Halifax Dr. Ormond Beach.

Saralyn was a gifted school teacher and guidance counselor. She will be remembered mostly for being a loving wife mother and grandmother. Saralyn was the definition of class and beauty a true southern bell. She enjoyed traveling cooking and dining with family and friends.


She is survived by her husband of 43 years Kit Korey her son Robert Kevin Korey and his wife April her daughter Katie Korey Busby and her husband Thad all of Ormond Beach by her two brothers John Emmitt Jackson and his wife Jessie by Guy Skehan Jackson and his wife Kelly and by her sister Leecy Jackson Ezell as well as two grandchildren Palmer and Walker Korey.

Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
