Sara Nicole Thomas,age 25 of Port Orange, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013.A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. The family will receive friends for a gathering one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.

Sara was born on April 16, 1988 in Daytona Beach to Paul and Carole Thomas. She graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 2006 and attended Daytona State College. Sara was a free spirit and she brought happiness and sunshine to those around her. She was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar, writing songs and poetry. Sara also loved sports especially softball and basketball. She was artistic, articulate, and passionate about life. Sara was a bright ray of sunshine that left us too soon.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather William "Jack" Thomas, her Uncle Rudy Thomas, and Maternal Grandparents, Naomi Ruth and Harold J. Ewing. Those left to cherish her memory are Parents, Paul and Carole Thomas; Sister, Heather Thomas; Paternal Grandmother, Sue Thomas; Aunt, Vicki (Mike) Nixon, Uncle, Gary (Mary) Thomas, Uncle Rob (Katherine) Thomas, Aunt Linda Discher, Aunt Paula Ewing, and Uncle Harold Jesse Ewing. Sara also leaves behind many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Sara's honor to Avenues 12 Recovery House, 204 South Street, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 or Haven Recovery Center, 245 South Amelia Ave, Deland, Florida, 32724.
