Sandra "Gommie" Holloway Tamasi
, 76, of Ormond Beach, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Sandra was born May 3, 1941 to Edward and Maxine Holloway in Salisbury, Maryland. She is survived by her husband, Bob, brother, Clif Holloway, sons Allen and Doug Tilghman, daughter Jean Travers, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Buddy and David Holloway. She was well known in her younger years as an accomplished tap dancer. Sandra attended Wicomico High School and graduated from Salisbury State University with a degree in nursing. She was employed as a critical care RN for hospitals in Maryland, Louisiana and Florida. Sandra was a past member of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Lake County, FL. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, feeding and watching birds, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sandra's family very much appreciates the care provided by her granddaughter, Sherri Pinkerton, RN. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the service and reception to follow on Saturday, April 21st at Lohman's Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
