A Funeral Service for Samuel E. Floyd Sr. age 64 of Ormond Beach who passed away September 2 2005 at his residence will be held Tuesday September 6 2005 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. His family will receive friends on Monday September 6th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in the Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. He was born in Coolidge Georgia to Edward and Josie Floyd and moved to this area in 1984 from Thomasville GA. He was a Mechanical Engineer throughout his whole life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 30 years.
Samuel was a man who loved spending time with his family he also enjoyed traveling and was a master barbecue chef. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Pamela sons Samuel E. Floyd and wife Karen of McDonough GA. Scott E. Floyd and wife Mandy of Port Orange FL Andrew J. White of NY NY daughters Lisa Floyd Smith and husband Luke of Valdosta GA Teresa Floyd Smith of Thomasville GA Kellee M. DeRiggi and husband Sal of Ormond Beach a sister Barbara Jean Garnto of Byron GA 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
