Samuel A. Darcy, age 105, of Port Orange passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, between the hours of 6:00 P.M and 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Sam was born on June 10, 1908 in Bluefields, Nicaragua to the late Carmen Hernandez Lander and Max Darcy; and was one of fifteen children.

Sam served proudly in the United States Army and was a Veteran of WWII.

He had a passion for ballroom dancing, and you could often find him dancing at the drop of a hat! If there was music playing, Sam was dancing. He also enjoyed singing, mentoring, and entertaining friends.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife, Lili Darcy.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Sam also leaves behind longtime companion and friend, June White.
