With hearts full of sorrow we announce the death of Dr. Sampson Ike Oli, Okuzu One. A kind hearted human being, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, in-law, friend, professor, author, and neighbor. He went to the Lord on December 12, 2017, the 60 th anniversary of the death of his father Inspector Jeremiah Oli. His beloved mother was Juliet Oli.
Dr. Oli was born in Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 1971. He practiced general law in Nigeria. He migrated to the United States and received his doctorate degree in criminal justice from City University of New York. He was a published author and enjoyed 26 years teaching as a tenured professor at a university in Daytona Beach, FL.
Dr. Oli married his honey bunch Pamela Oli on June 14, 1969. He is survived by his wife, 5 children,13 grandchildren, 2 sisters and a brother. He was an active parishioner of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
Memorial service will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church on January 20, 2018 at 3pm. In March 2018, his remains will be laid to rest in Nigeria.
