Salvatore Caico passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023, surrounded by family. He was 96 years old. Sal was born Salvatore Caico on October 20th, 1927, in Sicily, Italy to Giuseppe and Rosaria Caico. After meeting the love of his life, Olga Gunnella Caico, the two emigrated to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. Settling in Bedford Hills, New York, they raised their two sons and eventually opened their business, Caico's Auto Repair, which they ran until their retirement to Palm Coast, Florida in 1992. Sal was a storyteller with a tremendous sense of humor and an endless trove of proverbs. He enjoyed a good cup of espresso from the moka pot and taking evening strolls on the beach with Olga. More than anything, he loved spending time with family and friends. Salvatore was predeceased by his wife Olga in 2021. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Caico and his wife Maria, and Mark Caico and his partner Vanessa. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katherine, Alessandra, Stephen, and Isabella, as well as countless friends and family whose lives he touched.
