Salvatore R. Alfano 70 Ormond Beach FL passed away on December 28 2010 Halifax Medical Center Daytona Beach. Visitation will be held on Monday January 3rd between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Lohman Funeral Home 722 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach followed by a Mass of the Christian Burial on Tuesday January 4 2011 at 10:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Road Ormond Beach FL. Salvatore was born August 14 1940 in Queens NY to Dominick and Jennie (DiGragario) Alfano. He was a carpenter a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he served as an usher a member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel # 8791 and 4th Degree Assembly # 2901 he was a member of the Elks the Italian American Club and a former member of the Moose all of Ormond Beach. He enjoyed baseball fishing dancing playing cards playing pool and traveling. He was devoted to his faith family and friends; he will be remembered as a man with a big heart and had a gift of making people laugh. Salvatore is survived by his wife of 41 years Madeline A. Alfano Ormond Beach his daughter Anna Marie Meisner and her husband David of Massapequa NY sisters Faye DeLuca Long Island NY and Anna Galletta Livingston NY as well as his Granddog Lacey.
