Sally F. Peterson, May 4, 1930 – June 12, 2022, 92, passed away under the warm and gentle care of the staff at Hospice in Edgewater, FL.

Originally from Franklin PA, Sally relocated along with her now deceased husband George and son Douglas to New Smyrna Beach, FL in 1970. Along with George, they managed several local beachside condominiums before retiring to Florida Shores, Edgewater in 1991.

It was while they resided in Florida Shores that her grandson, Nathaniel was born to become the light of her life. Her love and care for him are, in a large part, responsible for shaping him into the outstanding young man he has become.

Among her family's fond memories regard the smells and tastes associated with her cooking and baking. Cookies and treats overflowed the counters during the holiday season or tasty egg salad sandwiches rewarded her son's and daughter in law's Sunday run. The earth's most delectable rhubarb custard pies were reserved as special treats.

She was always willing to step in to babysit or house sit, whether it was for Nathaniel or two highly strung and strong-willed dogs. And you could always count on her to attend any musical event where Doug or Pam were performing.

Survivors also include Janeann Connor, sister-in-law, Cheri Sutherland niece, Jay Robinson and Michael Connor, nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a short service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
