Sadie Etha McCrory Barnes,86, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on June 19, 2025. Born on September 18, 1938, to James Daniel McCrory and Margaret Opal Ware McCrory who preceded her in death.

Sadie was born in Lake, Mississippi. After graduation from High School, Sadie graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. From there she moved to the Panama Canal Zone where she worked for the Federal Government. After leaving the Panama Canal Zone she moved to Panama City, Florida where she worked at Tyndall Air Force Base where she met her husband, Bill Barnes. They later moved to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area where Bill and Sadie both worked for the Federal Government. In 1999 they retired to Port Orange, Florida.

Sadie is survived by her three children, Karen(Pete), Debbie (Dale), Bill (Cindy), eight grandchildren, Samantha, Kelly, Billy, Jenny, Chris, Katie, Stephanie, and Daniel, fifteen great grandchildren, Kendall, Kinsleigh, Khloe, Kaylee, Bentley, Kennedy, Nyla, Eden, Alice, Karalynn, Thomas, Jackson, Millie, Georgia, and Gannon, and one great great grandson, Carson. Sadie's husband William Thomas Barnes preceded her in death just three short months ago.

A memorial service will be held on July 18, 2025, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
