S. "Shaw" Painter, 81 of Port Orange, FL, and more recently of Ormond Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Shaw was a gifted chemical engineer with an innovative scientific vision for developing water-based paint, caulk, and adhesives for building products. In Shaw's 41 years working, he and his family lived in PA, TX, Il, Ohio and Georgia.
Shaw is survived by his wife, Julie Eberhart Painter and daughters Suzanne Painter-Supplee of Phoenix, AZ, Sheryl "Lynne" Painter of San Francisco, CA, and their son Stephen Shaw Painter of Atlanta, GA, a well as his son-in-law, Vinton Supplee of AZ.
The Painters relocated to FL in 1987 when Shaw became Vice President and part owner of Coronado Laboratories in New Smyrna Beach. Shaw retired in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents Sydney and Marguarite Painter of Philadelphia, PA.
