Ryszard Jozef “Rick” Lozicki

Ryszard Jozef Lozicki, lovingly known as Rick, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on November 9, 1948, in Coventry, England, Rick lived a life defined by honor, service, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 1968 until his retirement in May 1991, ultimately achieving the distinguished rank of Major. He began his service as an enlisted soldier and volunteered for duty in Vietnam, demonstrating courage and commitment early in his career. Throughout his service, he exemplified exceptional leadership, integrity, and dedication, earning the respect and admiration of all who served alongside him. Rick received numerous commendations for his service, including three Bronze Star Medals, reflecting his valor and outstanding performance, and his unwavering commitment to duty and country remained a lasting source of pride throughout his life.

Following his retirement from the military, Rick continued his professional journey with Lockheed Martin, where he carried forward the same discipline, work ethic, and professionalism that had marked his years in uniform. His contributions left a lasting impression on colleagues and the organizations he served.

Above all else, Rick was a devoted family man. He shared 24 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Karen Lozicki, building a life filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories in their home in New Smyrna Beach. He was a proud and loving father to Jozef Lozicki (wife, Kelley Lozicki) and Robert Lozicki, and a caring stepfather to Tonda Miller.

Rick found his greatest joy in his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a proud grandfather to Logan Lozicki, Austin Haverkost, and Chad Stubblefield, and a treasured great-grandfather to Cole Stubblefield. His wisdom, humor, and steadfast support enriched their lives and created a legacy that will endure for generations.

In addition to his professional and family life, Rick had a deep passion for golf. Whether sharing a round with friends or enjoying quiet time on the course, he found happiness in the game and treasured the camaraderie it brought him.

Rick will be remembered for his strength of character, his lifelong commitment to service, and the kindness and generosity he extended to everyone he met. His legacy lives on through his family, his service, and the many lives he touched along the way.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Lozicki; his sons, Jozef Lozicki (wife, Kelley Lozicki) and Robert Lozicki; his stepdaughter, Tonda Miller; his grandchildren, Logan Lozicki, Austin Haverkost, and Chad Stubblefield; his great-grandson, Cole Stubblefield; his sister, Urszula Zumwalt; her children, Adam Zumwalt and Courtney Zumwalt; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

May he rest in peace.
