Celebrating the Life of Ryan Steven Quakenbush
September 4, 1977 – June 20, 2026
Ryan Steven Quakenbush, resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the age of 48. Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of the love and laughter he shared will stay with those who knew him forever.
Born on September 4, 1977, in Bloomington, Indiana, Ryan was a man with a large presence and an even larger heart. He quite literally lit up any room he walked into. A natural-born entertainer, Ryan lived to make people laugh. He would gladly embarrass himself in front of a crowd of complete strangers if it meant putting a smile on someone’s face.
If Ryan was nearby, you knew it – usually because you could hear the loud music blasting from the portable speaker that he carried with him everywhere. He was happiest when he was out on the water, fishing pole in hand, soaking up the day with music playing. Ryan was a kind-hearted and loving man. He never said no when someone asked for help, no matter if they were a close family member or a complete stranger. He was deeply loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ryan was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and above all, an amazing father. He had a gift for connecting with children. He was the kind uncle and dad who would never hesitate to drop everything, sit right down on the floor, and play for hours. Ryan’s best buddy was his son, Lucas. They loved playing video games together, fishing and riding electric bikes. His loss leaves a profound void, but his larger-than-life personality will never be forgotten.
Ryan is survived by his son, Lucas Quakenbush, his father, Steve Quakenbush (Rose), his mother, Cheryl Bryant (Randy), his sister, Mandy Greenberg (Jon), his stepbrothers, Randall Moore (Amanda) and Steve Stanfield (Noelia), his niece and nephew, Oliver and Mia Greenberg, and a loving community of aunts, uncles, cousins, step-nieces and step-nephews and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Ryan Steven Quakenbush is schedule on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home 773 W. Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
