Ruth Ann Woodmansee, 88, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully at Halifax Hospital on November 20, 2015. Ruth Ann was born September 20, 1927 in Enid Oklahoma.

Affectionately known as Roxie, or Aunt Roxie, her great sense of humor was known far and wide. She had a long and interesting life with her husband of 45 years, Arthur A. Yocam, who was involved with the thoroughbred horse racing industry. They had one son, Rocky Dan Yocam. Ruth Ann was a graduate of Cherokee High School and attended Oklahoma State University, majoring in music. Subsequently, her career as a bookkeeper was highlighted by her position as Horseman's Bookkeeper at Churchill Downs, Kentucky, Oaklawn Park, Arkansas, Atlantic City Racecourse, New Jersey, and others.

After many wonderful experiences traveling the United States, Ruth Ann and Art settled on a horse farm in Ocala. After Art's passing, she was united with and married a fellow high school classmate Lieutenant Colonel Ray Woodmansee USA, Ret. Ruth Ann and Ray lived in Enid, Oklahoma, until Ray's passing. She then returned to Port Orange.

She was an avid fan of high school athletics and supporter of her son who was a long time area football coach. She had a very solid foundation in her faith. Even after challenges with vision affected her ability to read, she spent many hours listening to the Bible with books on tape.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Lloyd T. Lancaster, mother Ida J. Waddell Lancaster, brother George Lancaster, sister Virginia Lancaster Blue, husband Arthur A. Yocam, and second husband LTC Ray Woodmansee. She is survived by her son Rocky Dan Yocam, her niece Carolyn Blue Kramer and husband Robert, and nephew Ken Blue.

In addition, she is survived by great nieces Robin Turney (Randy), Kim Barth (Steve), Hannabah Blue, Virginia Ramirez, husband Adam and daughter Sialey, and Sierra, husband Ben, and daughter Symnnette , Great nephew Kerry Kramer (Diahann) and grand nieces and nephews, Tasha and Tana, Sydney and Jonas, and Sean and Brett.

Ruth Ann's family and friends will continue to be inspired by her memory. She had a great love of animals.

There will be a gathering of friends on Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 4:00 PM with A SERVICE AT 6:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Blvd. Daytona Beach FL. 32124
