Ruth Marie O'Gara was born April 2 1913 in New York City to Charles and Hanna Burke Tibbats and died peacefully on November 23 2011. She attended Barnard College and worked for Schraft's Best & Co. and Bergdorf Goodman. In 1992 Ruth moved to The Falls in Ormond Beach Florida and for many years volunteered at Pinkadilly Thrift Shop. Ruth is predeceased by her husband of 45 years Thomas and survived by her children Catherine (husband Edward) Sternberg and Thomas (wife Valentina) O'Gara; loving nieces Joan Lediger and Ann Kelleher and aide Lois Lang. The Memorial Service will be on Monday November 28 2011 at 11:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 South Nova Road Ormond Beach FL 32174.
