Ruth B. Mitchell age 94 of Daytona Beach went to her heavenly reward on Saturday November 27 2010. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 3 2010 at 11am at the Grace Episcopal Church 4110 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange. Father Rick Burhans will officiate.

Ruth was born in Exeter New Hampshire daughter of George and Lily Bernier. After graduating from Robinson Seminary in Exeter in 1935 and Keene Normal School in 1939 she taught school in New Hampshire for 22 years.

Upon retirement Ruth moved with her husband from New Hampshire to Daytona Beach in 1987 and became active in the Alter Guild and ECW at Grace Episcopal Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are Deborah Fleming (Dave) of Daytona Beach; Louise Carter (Hugh) of Daytona Beach; and Martha Hongisto (Brad) of Keene NH David Mitchell (Linda) of Daytona Beach and Alice Erb of Freeport ME. 7 Grandchildren; and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years Edward S. Mitchell and one great-grand-daughter

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Grace Episcopal Church 4110 W. Ridgewood Ave Port Orange or Odyssey Hospice 149 S. Ridgewood Ave Daytona Beach.

Arrangements are under the entrusted care of Cardwell Funeral Home.
