Ruth Jacobson Hevrin 91 of Port Orange passed away Friday June 26 2009. Ruth was born August 2 1917 in Oil City Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of George and Clara Crouch. Ruth graduated from Titusville High School in 1935. She worked as an Executive Secretary in Advertising. Ruth also worked for Erie Ceramic Arts Company in Erie Pennsylvania; and for AVM in Jamestown New York. Ruth was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Port Orange. She was also involved in the Titusville Women's Club the Erie Woman's Club in Pennsylvania The Daytona Beach Golf Club "49"ers and the Holy Trinity Women's Club Association in Daytona Beach .Ruth also served on the Board of Director for The Erie Pennsylvania Playhouse. In 1989 Ruth married Donald Hevrin who precedes her in death. Ruth is also preceded in death by her late family husband Arthur O. Jacobson and their son John Jacobson. Survivors include daughters Catherine Thompson Burns of Port Orange; and Mardith (Fred) Hany of Catawba Island Ohio. Ruth is also survived by 8 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
