Funeral Service for Ruth S. Givin of Port Orange age 89 died Tuesday July 4 2006 at home under the care of hospice and her daughter Lynne will be held on Saturday July 8th at 1:00 PM at the Daytona Beach Christian Drive In Church 3140 South Atlantic avenue Daytona Beach Shores 32118 with Rev. Larry Deitch officiating. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday July 7th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona; 1423 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach FL.

Mrs. Givin was born October 27 1916 in Gettysburg Pa. to Beulah G. Myers Harnish and S. Edgar Harnish who predecead her. Ruth and her husband Jimmie James moved to Port Orange form Alexandria VA in 1979.

Mrs. Givin was a secretary for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon but mostly was a loving Mother and Grand Mother. She was a servant of the Lord all her life. She enjoyed Scrapebooking and Croqueting and puzzle books.

She leaves behind her loving Daughter; Lynne M. Henry of Port Orange formerly of Front Royal VA. Grandmother of David L. Henry Jr. of Mineral VA Stephen Henry Savannah GA Scott Brady of Front Royal VA. Brian and Stacey Hutchins Great Grandmother of Lee Henry Amber Henry Haleigh Brady Chase and Ciera Hutchins Great Great Grandmother of Chloey and Trevor Henry. Pallbearers include her Grandchildren David L. Henry Steve Henry Scott Brady Lee Henry Tom Williams Bill Ivy Honorary Pall bearers; Fran Robbin Jayne Artwood and Martha Group.
