Obituary

Funeral services for Ruth Carol Burns of Daytona Beach Shores will be held at 3:00 PM on December 11 2004 in The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection 3220 Lexington Rd. Nicholasville Kentucky 40356 {859-885-6391}.

Ruth was born in Glen Daniel West Virginia on November 20 1934 to Elvin & Pluma Meadows. She graduated from St. Frances Hospital School of Nursing. A retired Registered Nurse Ruth worked in Charleston W VA and was the Head Emergency Room Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital/North in Covington KY for 21 years. She moved to the Halifax area in 1984 from Lexington KY. Ruth was a member of the Halifax River Yacht Club in Daytona beach and the Herrington Lake Yacht Club in Charleston WVA. .
Ruth was also a Kentucky Colonel and member of the International Order of the Blue Gavel Auxilliary District 7.

Ruth Carol Burns passed away on November 28 2004 at her residence. Most describe Ruth as a ?special person?. All who knew her were touched by her love loyalty compassion and strength. She will be missed by many.
