Helen Anderson 90 of Daytona Beach Florida went to be with the Lord on August 2 2011. The family will receive visitors at Christ United Methodist Church 962 Derbyshire Rd Holly Hill FL at 1pm Saturday August 6th 2011. A Memorial Service to celebrate Helen's life will follow at 2pm with Pastor Raphael Camilo.
Born on December 12 1920 in Wallbash Indiana to Owen and Florence Brown Weesner. Helen attended Mainland High School. She was a former resident of Brunswick Georgia. She was a long time employee of W.T. Grant here in Daytona Beach as well as the location in Brunswick GA. She then worked as a bookkeeper for several years. She volunteered at Christ United Methodist Church where she was an active member.
Her favorite past time was spending time with her family and close friends especially long time friend Ruth Meadows. She adored her three sons and sister. She was affectionately known to family as Mamo and Granny. She had a passion for playing the organ. Helen had a great sense of humor and was a true southern lady.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Jimmy Howard and Max. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Jimmy (Mable) Culpepper of Eastman GA Dickey (Nancy) Culpepper of Brunswick GA Howard (Angie) Culpepper of Daytona Beach FL; 6 Grandchildren 16 Great-Grandchildren; Sister Laura Jane of Daytona Beach FL; Sister-in-law Shirley Weesner of Daytona Beach FL; and numerous nieces nephews cousins and many friends.
Helen's family would like to give special thanks to the Health Center of Daytona Beach FL Halifax Health Medical Center nursing staff and doctors Odyssey Hospice and Council on Aging.
