Russell Francis Myers, 76, of Edgewater, Florida passed away Friday, November 3, 2023.  He was born on February 4, 1947 in Miami, Florida.  He attended Miami Senior High School where he was a member of the football team and the Key Club.  Russ went on to join the United States Army and served as a Lieutenant in the Intelligence division.  After his time in service he attended Young Harris College in Rome, Georgia and then attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida,  receiving his Bachelor's degree in Criminology.  Russ worked his career in banking, serving the local community for over 40 years at various banking entities; he also owned A Plus Mortgage in Port Orange, Florida.  Russ was an avid Florida State Seminoles football fan, enjoying the games, rivalries, and of course, the wins!  He was a member of the Seminole Boosters, Ormond Beach Kiwanis Club, a past president of Halifax Kiwanis Club, a past president of Daytona / Volusia Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, a past president of the Volusia Chapter of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers (FAMB), and a past State Director of FAMB.

Russell is survived by his wife, Milana Myers; son, Scott Leidel Myers; daughter, Michelle Lynn Willis (husband, David Willis); sister, Melanie Hamilton (husband, "Bo" Hamilton); grandson, Logan Robert Gaden; granddaughter, Kaelynn Michelle Myers; granddaughter, Rebecca Lyn Ann Gaden; grandson, Coyle Leidel Myers; his beloved kittens; and many friends.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 5:30PM at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange located at 1201 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, Florida 32127.
