Russell A. Ball 85 of Holly Hill passed away on Wednesday December 1 2004 in Ormond Beach Fl. He was preceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Florence Onion Ball his son Robert L. Ball and his brother Robert Ball and sister Alice Wentmore. Mr. Ball was born on January 22 1919 in Cambridge Springs PA. and graduated Cambridge Springs high school in 1937 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was the owner/operator of Drake Hardware in Cambridge Springs. After selling his business to Smith?s Hardware he worked for American Hardware prior to his position with Farwell?s until retiring in 1985 moving to Prescott AZ. He came to this area in 1991. Russell was an avid woodworker and he loved to fish. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Gwen Brink Ball of Holly Hill; his son Ronald W. Ball of Meadville PA. Sisters; Bernita Stansy of Jacksonville FL. ; Shirley Fassett and Betty Jane Duff of Ashtabula OH. also his step-children; Pat Al Stevens of Ponte Vedre FL.; Bob DeRoss of New Smyrna Beach FL. ; Christy Pickie Robbins of Ormond Beach FL. ; Kathy Al Buschman of Ormond Beach FL. 13 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
