Ruby VonKaas age 91 of Port Orange passed away suddenly on Tuesday April 15 2008. Mrs. VanKaas a lifetime resident of the Daytona Beach area graduated from Mainland High School 1934 a devoted homemaker and house wife lived for her family celebrating each day and blessed us all with her inspirational love of life. She was a devoted member of the Spruce Creek Baptist Church spent many years as a Sonny Land Garden Club member and enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a great cook and loved to feed her family. Mrs. VonKaas was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years Vernon VonKaas 1992. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed by her sons; Karl (Jerry) VonKaas and Robert (Sandra) VonKaas 2 sisters; Ethel Bailey and Alice Threlkeld all of Port Orange FL 8 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren and many nieces nephews and friends. A service in her honor will be held Saturday April 19 2008 11:00 AM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home with Rev. Bernie Davis officiating. Interment will be at Daytona Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
