Ruby Testruth, 91, recent resident of Port Orange, died peacefully after a short stay at Halifax Health Hospice on March 26 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm on Monday March 28, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church-Ormond Beach, 336 South Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. A grave side service will be held at 2:00 pm at Daytona Memorial Park, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 preceded by family visitation at 1:00pm.
Ruby was a native of Sparta, Tennessee. She survived her 5 brothers, Jim, Roy, Andrew, Cecil Ray, and Tom and 2 sisters, Opal and Pearl. She was a self employed restaurant owner and had one son, Jay Lee (deceased) and one daughter, Linda Manning. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Testruth, originally from Detroit, Michigan. John and Ruby retired to Port Orange in 1986 and were members of Cross Roads Baptist Church. She had 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She also survived by 2 step sons, John and Vernon.
