Rosita "Tita" Gozun Nierras, 85, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Marcj 8, 2016. Tita was born August 30, 1930 in Pampanga, Philippines to Joaquin and Carmen(Vicencio) Gozun. Mass of Christian Burial for Tita will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12th at 1;00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the mass. Tita and her husband, Leo, relocated to Palm Coast from Pennsylvania in 1995. She earned her Doctorate Degree at the University of St. Thomas and practiced as a Pathologist. She was a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She enjoyed golf, reading, cooking, and travelling. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Leo Nierras of Palm Coast, her daughters, Eileen Nierras Meyer and her husband Rodney of Minnesota, Ann Nierras Schwendenman and her husband Phil of Ohio, Marie Nierras Crump of Mentor, Ohio, and Rose Scheuer ane her husband Karl of Minnesota, by her son Ernest Leo Nierras of New York. Tita is also survived by her brother, Roberto Gozun of the Philippines, her sisters Carmelita Galang of the Philippines, as well as her grandchildren, Tiffany, Danielle, Lindsey, Timothy, Benedict, David, Jill, John, and Jacob. Memorial contributions may be made in Rosita's memory to your favorite charity.
