Mass of Christian Burial for Rosemary Lagoni age 97 who died Friday November 24 2006 at her home will be held at the Basilica of St. Paul on Tuesday November 28 2006 at 11:00a.m. with Fr. Tim Daly and Fr. Robert Webster co-officiating. A Rosary service and visitation will be held on Monday evening November 27 2006 at 6 to 8 p.m. with a 7PM Rosary Service at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL and a second mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park Fl on Wednesday November 29 2006 at 10:30a.m. with Fr. Gerald Grogan officiating. The committal service will immediately follow at Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park. Rosemary was born on March 30 1909 in Savannah Georgia and moved to Florida in 1928. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park FL before moving to Daytona Beach and joining the St. Paul Parish. She worked for many years in administrative positions with first the railroad in Tampa and later for approximately twenty years with Electrolux Corporation in Orlando and Tallahassee. While in Tallahassee she sometimes served as a housemother at Florida State University's Home Economics House and instructed bridge groups at the College. She was a fervent fan of the FSU Seminoles Notre Dame and the Florida Gators if they weren't playing FSU. She had lived in Daytona Beach since 1985. She was an avid card player and especially enjoyed bridge in which she was recognized as a Golden Age Master. She will be forever missed by her adoring family. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Lagoni of Daytona Beach FL; her two sons Louis Lagoni Jr. and his wife Betty of Avon Park FL and William A. Lagoni and his wife Susan of Indianapolis IN; her 8 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Louis M. Lagoni Sr. and her daughter Rosemary Clark.
