Funeral Mass for Rose Welsh age 84 of Ormond Beach will be held Monday November 28 2005 at 10:00am at Saint Brendan Roman Catholic Church with Father Ryan officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala Florida. Visitation will be Sunday November 27 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with a wake prayer service at 6:30pm. Rose was born in Blackburn England on February 13 1921 to John and Mary Ann Ford and moved to this area in 1970 from Cleveland Ohio. She retired in 1978 as a realtor. She enjoyed tennis playing Bridge writing letters to editors traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Leslie Welsh and son David she is survived by son Paul and wife Dottie of Lake Placid FL daughter Marlene Peters and husband Gary of Ocala FL three sisters Mary Sharples of Preston England. Ann Ashcroft of Cleveland Ohio and Theresa Galloway of Ontario Canada brother John Ford of St. Petersburg FL and brother Austin Ford who preceded her in death in England 5 grandsons Michael of Ocala FL Steven of Jacksonville FL Paul II of Jacksonville FL Christopher of Jacksonville FL and Sean of Ocala FL 2 granddaughters Karen of Georgia and Jennifer of Ocala FL and 3 great-grandchildren Alexander Madison and Alana Rose and numerous nieces and nephews.
