Obituary

Rose Ann Heer age 90 of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday evening June 23 2010. Rose Ann was born on January 1 1920 in Hamilton Ohio to Arthur Bernard and Ella (Hundemer) Josken.

Before marriage Rose Ann worked as a telephone operator for 13 years in Ohio and California where she met her future husband Bill. They moved to Florida in the late 50's at the beginning of the manned space program. Rose Ann loved to cook and kept an immaculate house creating a wonderful home for her family. She was an avid reader and an accomplished Bridge player she loved spending time with her Bridge buddies whose friendship in later years meant so much to her.

She was preceded in death by family she dearly loved - Bill her beloved husband of 37 years her cherished parents and sisters Margie and Mary Ellen and devoted brother Arthur.

Rose Ann will always be remembered as a wonderful wife loving mother grandmother and faithful friend whose generosity great sense of humor personal strength and upbeat attitude made her the wonderful person she was.

She will be deeply missed by her children grandchildren friends and other family members including her cousin Molly sister-in-law Doris and many caring nieces and nephews. She leaves behind two sons and a daughter and their spouses - David & Jenn of Merritt Island Bill & Jeanne of Port Saint John and Debbie & David of Ormond Beach. Also surviving Rose Ann are her eight devoted grandchildren David Matt Andy Kathy Kyle Travis Logan and David Michael.

Our family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation for the caring staff at Clarebridge who showed Mom genuine love and kindness during the last two years of her life.

A memorial service will be held at a later date on Merritt Island Rose Ann's former home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Rose Ann's honor to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
