Funeral service for Rosa Alvarez ; age 83 of Palm Coast will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday November 29 2005 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends in the Funeral Home on Monday from 1pm till 3 pm and 7 pm till 9 pm.
Rosa was born in Canovanas Puerto Rico on April 2 1922. She worked for Beth Israel Hospital in New York and retired as member of the Hospital Workers Union #1199. After her retirement she returned to Puerto Rico then moved to Palm Coast in 2000. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Palm Coast. Rosa was a wonderful cook and had a fantastic green thumb growing many of her own vegetables and herbs that she used to cook.
Rosa Alvarez passed away at her home in Palm Coast on Monday November 21 2005. She was preceded in death by two sons Gary & Ismael Agosto. Left to cherish her memory are her children Esther Mullis of Vancouver Washington Eddie Nelson Agosto of Queens New York Emilio Agosto Jr. of Palm Coast & Irma Canty of Palm Coast; sister Fella Alvarez of Puerto Rico; 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
