Obituary

Ronald S. Turco, beloved husband, father, and friend went home to be with his Lord on January 11. After a brief battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Stefani, children Becky, Mark (Christian), Jesse Brunkan, and Shane Brunkan (Jessica), and brother Paul (Irma).

He was born to Steve and Dora Turco and raised in New York where his faith in God began to grow as well as his love for music. He became a skilled violinist, taking lessons throughout his childhood, and joined the high school orchestra. He also lettered in football and track.

One of his proudest accomplishments is earning a bachelor's degree in business, minoring in religion and psychology from Florida Southern College, all while working full-time in construction and raising a family, he later in life obtained his residential contractor's license.

Over the course of his career as a construction superintendent, his fingerprints are on many residential homes and commercial buildings throughout central Florida. Ron also designed and built several of his own personal residences.

He took great joy in teaching an adult Sunday school class and was very involved in his kids' lives—coaching little league, playing tennis, and volunteering to chaperone school field trips, Ron was also a gifted singer. He joined the Stetson University Choral Union and sang with the group for 16 years, including a performance at New York City's iconic Carnegie Hall. He worked out at the gym regularly where he met and made life-long friends. One of his favorite past times was working around the yard and spending time with his many German shepherds and horses.

Throughout his life he maintained a firm conviction that God was in control of all things.  This knowledge, along with his faith in Jesus Christ, gave him great hope in this life and for the future which he now enjoys.
