Ronald H. Saffert, 69, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.

Ron was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Henry and Inez Saffert. Ron moved to Palm Coast in 1998 after serving 30 years as a City of Milwaukee Police Officer. Pursuing his love of diving, he later worked at Marineland, FL and also at the Flagler County Humane Society as he loved all of God's creatures.

Ron is survived by his wife Dawn and sons Jason and Peter of WI. Further survived by his sister Lynne Krier of Brookfield, WI; sister-in-laws Gail (the late Dennis) Korsmo of WI and Judy (Jeff) Kubacki of NC. Also survived by his mother-in-law Helen Dziomba of WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ron was also a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 400 in Bunnell, FL; National Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 171 in Palm Coast; and Milwaukee Retired Police Association.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Family welcomes friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with Prayer Service starting at 6pm.
