A Memorial Service for Ronald P. Murphy 61 who passed away Tuesday July 8 2008 will be held at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Chapel on Friday July 11 2008 at 8:00pm. The Family will receive visitors from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Ronald was born October 4 1946 in Cleveland Ohio to Eugene and Doris Murphy. He was united in marriage to Joanne Urna on August 27 1971. Ron was an Educational Media teacher for several years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Joanne; daughter Elizabeth (Damon) Thomas who is an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Illinois; mother and step father Doris and Harold D. Ely of Florida; brother Scott Murphy of Texas and sister Cathy White of Texas. Ron is preceded in death by his father. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donation be made to the Halifax Humane Society.
