Ronald V. Gatch, 82, a resident of Daytona Beach, passed away on Sunday October 29. Ron was born to Bert and Irene Gatch on New Year's Day 1935 here in Daytona Beach. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Mainland High School, Class of '53. Following school, Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and spent a good portion of his enlisted time stationed in Germany. After his service, he earned a degree in engineering from DeVry University in Chicago. Eventually, Ron began his own business, Air Reed Filter Products, which he opened in 1970. Ron was an outgoing, generous man who was always there to help those less fortunate. These traits were evident through his work with the Daytona Beach Jaycees, where he was a senior advisor and a regular volunteer at countless events. He was an incredibly loving father and will be missed dearly by his daughter Diane Mohsen. He will also leave behind the love of his life, his fiance, Sharon Barger, and many friends and colleagues. A Funeral Service will be held for Ron on Friday, November 3rd at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona beginning at 11:00am, with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
