A Memorial Service for David "Ron" Turner 85 of Port Orange who passed away on September 19 2007 with his family by his side will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 22 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes with Reverend Paul Kamide officiating. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Ron was born on September 14 1922 in Nottingham England graduated from Crane Schools and became a Royal Naval Commando. He married the love of his life Kathleen Newton and then immediately went off to serve in WWII. Ron brought his wife and three children to America in 1961. They lived in West Boylston MA and grew to love their new homeland. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 67 years Kathleen; son Jeffrey Turner and his wife Linda of New Hampshire; daughter Katrina Bessette and her husband Skip of Port Orange; grandchildren Phillip Bessette Kristina Bessette Ronnie Turner Mindy Turner Dawn Turner-Mayo and Jay Lee Turner; great grandchild Lauren Bessette and numerous extended family members.
