Obituary

Roland (Ron) Piccioni, age 90, resident of Volusia County, graduate of Rutgers & New York Universities. He studied music at Julliard in New York. He served six years in the Army, completing an Engineering degree while there. His government service continued with the Treasury Dept in Washington, D.C., where he worked for 25 years, at one point serving on President Nixon’s Economic Stabilization Program. His life’s passion was playing music on the piano, organ, & accordion; teaching classical & blues theory to all age groups in Virginia & Florida. He played keyboards in many bands & was a recording artist. Known in the ‘50s rock circles as “Ronnie Page”, but mostly as the “Blues Doctor” in the blues & jazz circuits. Ron was fluent in 5 languages & was always eager to brush-up when engaging with others. Predeceased by his son Gregory, he leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Bonnie; sister, Gloria; three children, Karen, James & Richard; nine Grandchildren; and seven Great-Grandchildren. His love & legacy will live on for many generations.
