Rogers W. Zarling 81 a long-time resident of Ormond Beach passed away June 10 2009. Services will he held on Saturday June 20th 2009 at 11:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Road Ormond Beach. A reception will follow at Tradewinds Grille 1425 Hand Avenue Ormond Beach. Rogers was born April 14 1928 in Sheboygan WI and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for the past 61 years. He began a warehouse liquor store business in Sheboygan and several years later opened RWZ Wine Company. In 1978 Rogers retired and relocated to Ormond Beach with his loving wife Mary to whom he was married 59 years. Rogers adored animals and devoted much of his time and resources to the Humane Society. He received much joy spending time with his own playful pets as well. Rogers loved to fish and could also be found helping out at his daughter's flower shop in Orlando. He will be remembered most as being generous in all senses and always reached out to those in need. Rogers was a kind loving husband father grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish their memories of their lives together is his wife Mary; sons Thomas W. (Valerie) Zarling of Elkhart WI Timothy P. Zarling of Winter Park; daughter Laura K. Zarling of Longwood; grandchildren John Zarling of Naples Elena (Michael) Maurini of Indianapolis IN. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Zarling.
